Los adjetivos (adjetives) modifican sustantivos, indican cómo es algo. Una casa puede ser nueva (new) o vieja (old), new y old son los adjetivos que nos indican cómo es la casa. Ejemplos:
- He is a careful student. (Él es un estudiante cuidadoso)
- My aunt is very young. (Mi tía es muy joven)
- She is thin. (Ella es delgada)
- My car is new. (Mi automóvil es nuevo)
- Lynda is pretty. (Lynda es bonita)
- Donald is rich. (Donald es rico)
- The cinema was full. (El cine estaba lleno)
- Jane is single. (Jane es Soltera)
- Your homework is easy. (Tu tarea es fácil)
- His house is large. (Su casa es grande)
- This apple is soft. (Esta manzana es suave)
- Her house is dirty. (Su casa está sucia)
- I have a beautiful pet. (Tengo una hermosa mascota)
- This game is boring. (Este juego es aburrido)
- She is a great woman. (Ella es una gran mujer)
- You are very kind. (Tú eres muy amable)
- She is slim. (Ella es delgada)
- His wife is very jealous. (Su esposa es muy celosa)
- He is selfish. (Él es egoísta)
- She is a unique person. (Ella es una persona única)
- My father is generous. (Mi padre es generoso)
- It is something very unusual. (Es algo inusual)
- She gave me a plastic spoon. (Ella me dio una cuchara de plástico)
- My sister is intelligent. (Mi hermana es inteligente)
- He has a practical mind. (Él tiene una mente práctica)
- What you wrote her is dreadful. (Lo que le escribiste es espantoso)
- We are happy. (Nosotros somos felices)
- They are sad. (Ellos están tristes)
- The Earth is round. (La Tierra es redonda)
- That is my black dress. (Ese es mi vestido negro)
- The meeting was interesting. (La reunión estuvo interesante)
- He is very impolite. (Él es muy descortés)
